Create a wonderful memory filled experience.
Sit in shaded comfort, next to one of our ponds and run 3 pails of gem bearing gravel through the water of our 100 foot long Gemstone Sluice. Find natural gemstones like Ruby, Emerald, Opal, Tourmaline, Garnet, Amethyst, Peridot, Crystal, Aquamarine & many, many more. 

Then, enjoy the ride in one of Wegner’s Safari Style Trucks to our Crystal Forest Mine and collect Quartz Crystals directly from our 40 acre mine. This area provides an easy collecting opportunity suitable for all ages and experience levels. 

Upon returning from the mine, you might take a break at a picnic table and have a snack or soda (available in our warehouse). Or, you may go directly into our air conditioned Gem Sorting Room that houses light tables and benches. We will provide you with two pouches of gem bearing gravel. One will contain Diamonds and in the other pouch you’ll find a assortment Colored Gemstones. You can sit at a light table station to sort through the gravel to reveal the stones. 

In the Diamond Pouch, there will be a minimum of ½ carat rough natural Diamond. This will be between 1-3 stones that are all hidden in the gravel, waiting on you to find. At least one in every eight pouches contains a Diamond with a much higher retail value of up to $200.00 In the Colored Gemstone Pouch you will find many, many gemstones including Amethyst, Emerald, Fluorite, Garnet, Kunzite, Opal, Topaz and more.

At any point throughout the day, you can use your Full Access Day Pass to the Tailings Area. This area is adjacent to our Gemstone Sluice, just a short distance from the warehouse. You can collect crystals in this area anytime during the day between the hours of 9:00am and 4:00pm. 

Finally, it’s off to the warehouse for a tour of our Museum, where you will see a 2,000 lb. Quartz Crystal, a 4,400 lb. Amethyst Geode and other one of a kind specimens. The 10,000 sq. ft. warehouse is also filled with crystals from our local mines as well as minerals imported from around the world.. You can use your 5% off merchandise coupon here.
